The Beta Canister Lifts are used to safely lift and transport Dynamic Design Pharma’s NRC Canisters or standard Beta canisters. By positioning the beta flange of the canister in proper alignment with the alpha flange, the operator can perform the docking process without risk of injury or damage to the equipment.
System Description
The Beta Canisters lift are available in a number of configurations depending on the application. They are based on proven designs and materials that are compatible with the pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.
Some of the configurations are:
- NRC Canister supported from above with fixed angular position of the boom
- NRC Canister supported from below and rotated 90 degrees to allow docking to a typical isolator design featuring the Alpha Flange on its end
- NRC Canister suspended from above with operator adjustable angular position of the supporting boom
- NRC Canister supported from below with “easy” angular adjustment of the canister relative to the Alpha flange
- Standard Beta Canister supported from above.

- The angle of the horizontal boom can be adjusted by turning a second handle that actuates a dedicated gearbox. This is an operator operation
- The boom includes a 50mm sliding action to facilitate the docking process
NRC Canister supported from below with “easy” angular adjustment of the canister relative to the Alpha flange
- The NRC Canister includes features on its underside that permit its secure attachment to the lift supporting structure
- The supporting structure includes a tilt mechanism that permits the easy angular adjustment of the canister angle by the operator
- A locking mechanism permit the operator to lock the angle of the NRC at the desired position as needed
Standard Beta Canister application
- The Beta Canister is lifted form above permitting the beta canister to be lifted off a supporting cradle off the autoclave cart
- The supporting structure includes four locking mechanisms that assure the safe engagement of the beta canister
- The beta canister is free to rotate while supported, permitting the docking process
- A self-actuating mechanism engages the beta canister and prevents it from sliding forward
- The angular position of the supporting boom can be adjusted to achieve a smooth docking process
